We are looking for a part-time lecturer for the elective course Mathematics 2 at the Bachelor of Engineering programs in Kalundborg. The course is lectured in English.
The students of Absalon must feel their education from day one. When they walk through the door, they must feel the profession, which they are entering, they must feel a special educational culture where the communication with teachers and other students is strong, and finally they must feel a unified organization, who put students first and who have a strong and clear educational professionalism.
The course is offered in the fall semester and is aimed at our students on the 5th and 7th semesters of the Bachelor of Engineering programs.
We need you to lecture and complete the course in the fall semester 2023.
Your profile
As a part-time lecturer on this course, it is essential that you can see yourself in the following:
You are committed to teaching.
You may have experience teaching undergraduate students and you know how to engage and make the topics relevant.
Academic background.
You have a relevant academic degree at Master's level such as a Master of Science in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
You master teaching and mentoring in English
and thrive on interacting with students from different nationalities.
Your tasks
Your tasks as a teacher will consist of guidance, teaching and professional collaboration with your colleagues. It is therefore important that you can solve the following tasks:
Teaching and guidance.
Your primary tasks will be to teach and guide students. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the course, including exam preparation and assessment.
You will teach the topics:

Mathematics 2 is a 5 ECTS course, which runs over 13 weeks during the period week 36 - 49 with four weekly lessons of 45 minutes each. The scheduling of the course can be adjusted to some extent. A written exam is held in December or January with re-takes in February and May.
Your colleagues
The two Bachelor of Engineering programs are organizationally located in the Center for Engineering and Science and are aimed at biotechnology and mechanical engineering. The center also includes the bio analyst and radiographer program. You will be based at Campus Kalundborg and report to the Head of Biotechnology.

- The positions are with a varying number of hours that are agreed upon prior to the semester - however, a maximum of 780 hours per year.
